ABSTRACT

Body temperature is an important physiological parameter of the human body and is used in medicine to reflect the physiological state and health status of the human body. At present, the commonly used clinical thermometers on the market are mainly divided into contact and non-contact types. Most of them are used for rapid body temperature measurement, and it is not easy to monitor body temperature changes in real time. This article introduces a new wearable wireless body temperature monitoring system based on NTC, which senses through NTC. The temperature changes are amplified and filtered, zeroed, and calibrated, and then the temperature data is uploaded to the mobile phone APP via Bluetooth in real time to achieve real-time accurate measurement of body temperature.

ABSTRACT

Introduction: The signal-to-noise ratio in the classroom can be a villain in the inclusion of hearing-impaired students in regular school, users of electronic devices, that use the oral language to communicate. The technological resources are determinant for better audibility of speech sounds in noisy environments and their effectiveness depends on adherence to the use of the device. This process is determined by the partnership between health professionals, family and school. Objective: Identify the relation between the use of remote microphone system (RMS) in hearing impaired students and the use by teachers, which favored or hindered their adaptation and the school development of hearing-impaired students. Method:175 subjects between 5 and 17 years of age who received the HAT in a hearing health service between the years 2017 and 2018 were analyzed. Parents and teachers of users were also subjects of the study. The functioning of the HAT and the classification regarding its use was verified. ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT The article describes the use of blended care as a mechanism of action in the construction of a therapy that uses digital means to improve and support current clinical treatments. The so-called digital therapeutics provides evidence-based therapeutic interventions for patients, who are guided by software to prevent, manage, or treat a medical disorder or disease. They are used independently or together with drugs, devices, or other therapies to optimize patient care and health outcomes. They are similar to popular wellness applications, but with one key difference: they focus on providing clinical results. Broadly speaking, they are evidence-based behavioral treatments delivered online, which can increase accessibility of health care and its efficacy. It is a combination of activities involving face-to-face care and digital care, aiming to provide follow-up of patients' performance in their self-care. Regarding blended care, digital therapeutics acts as an extension of physical care. They are complementary, regardless of the proportion used of each, in the care process of the assisted individual. It works as a bridge between the traditional provision of face-to-face care and eHealth solutions.

ABSTRACT

Wireless power transfer (WPT) is a new power transmission way, which can be widely used in electric vehicles and other fields. Its electromagnetic environment must be analyzed to ensure safe application. A low-power wireless power transfer system experimental platform was built, with 25 W receiving power and 47 kHz resonant frequency, which was used to carry out animal experiments. Treatment mice were exposed to environment of wireless power transfer system for 5 h a day and 6 days as one cycle. At the end of every cycle, learning memory behavior of mice were detected in T-shaped maze. The exposure experiment lasted for 12 weeks. Finally, immune parameters, sex hormones and part of organ physiological structure were detected. The results are as follows: as exposure time increased, memory behavior of mice did not change obviously with no statistical difference in sex hormone either ( > 0.05), the concentration of immune factors including tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin 6 (IL-6) and interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β) significantly increased ( < 0.05), and the structure of some organs showed some changes. The experimental results show that the environment of the wireless power transfer system has no effect on the memory behavior of mice, and has some effect on physiological properties of mice.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: Smart glasses can provide sonographers with real-time ultrasound images. In the present study, we aimed to evaluate the utility of smart-glasses for ultrasound-guided peripheral venous access.METHODS: In this randomized, crossover-design, simulation study, 12 participants were recruited from the emergency department residents at a university hospital. Each participant attempted ultrasound-guided peripheral venous access on a pediatric phantom at intervals of 5 days with (glasses group) or without (non-glasses group) the use of smart glasses. In the glasses group, participants confirmed the ultrasound image through the lens of the smart glasses. In the non-glasses group, participants confirmed the ultrasound image through the display viewer located next to the phantom. Procedure time was regarded as the primary outcome, while secondary outcomes included the number of head movements for the participant, number of skin punctures, number of needle redirections, and subjective difficulty.RESULTS: No significant differences in procedural time were observed between the groups (non-glasses group: median time, 15.5 seconds; interquartile range [IQR], 10.3 to 27.3 seconds; glasses group: median time, 19.0 seconds; IQR, 14.3 to 39.3 seconds; P=0.58). The number of head movements was lower in the glasses group than in the non-glasses group (glasses group: median, 0; IQR, 0 to 0; non-glasses group: median, 4; IQR, 3 to 5; P<0.01). No significant differences in the number of skin punctures or needle restrictions were observed between the groups.CONCLUSION: Our results indicate that smart-glasses may aid in ensuring ultrasound-guided peripheral venous access by reducing head movements.

We designed a multi-functional medical wireless gateway based on Zigbee Bluetooth and WiFi Technology to monitor the medical physiological status of subjects in real time. On the one hand, the gateway acts as the Zigbee coordinator, organizing the Zigbee network and controlling multiple medical digital terminals. On the other hand, the gateway implements a heterogeneous wireless network. It establishes the communication between the medical digital terminals and the host computers or hand-held devices. In addition, we developed a display interface based on the LabVIEW platform, implemented the display and storage of various physiological data on the host computer, and verified the availability of the medical wireless gateway.
